According to a recent permit filing, Bombay Pizza & Curry aims to expand with a new Vancouver location at 13011 NE Fourth Plain Boulevard.
This would be the second location for Bombay Pizza & Curry. The first location resides in Beaverton. Bombay is described as a “Pizzeria known for butter chicken pizza, plus Indian-style comfort food, and beer, in a relaxed setting,” according to Google.
An article from PDX Monthly describes the concept a bit more: “The casual, counter-service Bombay Pizza & Curry arrived in 2020, serving wide, medium-thin crusts absolutely stacked with Indian buffet stalwarts. The butter chicken pizza, slick with creamy tomato curry, features chicken, mozzarella, and fresh cilantro confetti, while the chilli paneer pizza balances smoky, marinated paneer and sweet bell peppers.”
“But genius bursts forth in limited-run pies like the Bombay Special, a riot of spiced lamb, caramelized onions, and mint chutney. It may not have a clear counterpart on a thali, but that’s part of the point. Beaverton’s pizza mavens have gone more free-form, using personally significant flavor profiles and ingredients as building blocks for original combinations.”
The property itself, according to Loop Net, is a part of The Palm Plaza. Boasting 10,000 square feet for the plaza and built back in 2008, the property was formerly a chiropractor’s office. Bombay’s address is listed to provide 1,918 square feet of space.
