The Thai restaurant Drunken Noodle is heading to the St. Johns neighborhood soon.

Drunken Noodle owner Tyler Pathammavong recently applied for space at 8714 N Lombard Street. The restaurant currently has a location at 5907 N Lombard Street in Portsmouth. In the past, they were at 1845 NW 23rd Place in Nob Hill.

The new restaurant would be going right next to Affogato coffee shop and St. Johns Twin Cinemas. This is an area with many bars, coffee shops and public events. This Drunken Noodle spot would be near other Thai restaurants such as Thai Cottage and Bua of Siam.

Accordint to Pathammavong, he started the restaurant, but the 5907 N Lombard Street location is now owned by someone else. He has been planning the new Drunken Noodle for months.

“It’s still under construction, perhaps within three months time,” Pathammavong told What Now Portland.

At the current restaurant, they sell egg rolls, fried rice, pan fried noodles, stir-fry options and drinks such as Thai tea and coffee. Along with their location menu, they have also run a food cart in the past.

In the liquor license, the business is listed as being open every day. The hours for operation are not clear as of yet. The current Drunken Noodle is open from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. There is also no mention of outdoor seating.
