Rosenstadt Brewery Moving To New Location in Kerns

The brewery with German roots will soon be at a new spot in town.

Rosenstadt Brewery has found a location in the Kerns neighborhood.

The business recently put in a liquor license for 2117 NE Oregon Street. They are currently at 2236 NW 21st Avenue and have been seeking a new location for a couple of months. Owner Tobias Hahn told What Now Portland he is hoping to open the new location by July, and they are currently working on construction of the new space.

“Rosenstadt plans to establish a production facility located in the greater Portland area, with a biergarten to follow,” said the description on their website. it was previously reported by What Now Portland they filed for their current location in September 2024.

The brewery specializes in German beer, with Hahn originally being from Southwestern Germany. When he came to Arizona for school, he decided to start crafting his own beer. He then moved to Portland and started Rosenstadt with fellow founder Nick Greiner.

Rosenstadt has all of the German beers one would expect including a pilsner, kolsh, helles lager and dunkel. They also have seasonals, like the German-hop pale ale, a Vienna lager, hefeweizen, altbier and otto pils. Most of their beers are around 5% abv.
