A popular Sacramento coffee roaster, café, and wholesale operation is brewing in a new neighborhood.
Temple Coffee Roasters recently teased a new location on social media, sharing a video of its signature signage going up with the caption, “River walks, wild chickens, outdoor recreation galore…can you guess where our new neighborhood is?”
While the company has not yet confirmed the address, locals quickly connected the dots. One commenter pointed to the Hazel Ridge Plaza in Fair Oaks—specifically the building that houses Mikuni Central Kitchen at 4301 Hazel Ave.
That speculation gained traction following a Facebook post from local realtor Allie Billings, who wrote, “A new Temple Coffee is opening in the Mikunis parking lot off Hazel 🙌🏼☕️ IYKYK Temple does not miss!! And having one this close for Fair Oaks / Gold River / Orangevale locals is a game changer!”
Founded in 2005 by Sean Kohmescher, Temple currently operates eight cafés across the Sacramento region, with existing locations in Midtown, Downtown, East Sacramento, Arden-Arcade, Folsom, and Davis.
Additionally, the brand has announced that two more sites are planned for the Sacramento International Airport and West Sacramento‘s upcoming Club Pheasant redevelopment.
Known for its commitment to direct, sustainable sourcing, Temple pairs high-quality coffee and tea with a lineup of classic café pastries and desserts, including scones, croissants, banana bread, muffins, and granola bars.
An official opening date for the Fair Oaks outpost hasn’t been announced, but according to Billings, the new Temple Coffee café could debut within the next two to three months.
