After reemerging earlier this year after a multi-million dollar renovation, Lafayette Hotel, at 2223 El Cajon Boulevard, is getting ready to open two new food and beverage concepts.

San Diego’s LaFayette Hotel & Club, owned and operated by CH Partners, reopened mid-summer after closing for a massive renovation project, including stylish new bars, restaurants, a bowling alley, and more. Now, the hotel is getting ready to start the new year with a bang, opening LouLou’s Jungle Room in mid-January, followed by Le Horse in early Spring 2024, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. The new concepts will join the Beginners Diner, The Lobby Bar, Quixote, and The Pool Bar.

LouLou’s Jungle Room is the sixth of seven planned restaurant-bar operations at the historic hotel, offering a New York jazz nightclub atmosphere and live music. Customers can expect a menu inspired by classic supper club cuisine and a rum-focused cocktail program. The hotel plans to host musical acts in the evenings, where customers can choose either an early seating show with dinner service or a post-show seating with a late-night lounge ambiance.

The last concept to open in Lafayette Hotel will be Le Horse, a luxurious European-style restaurant that pays homage to the old-world style of restaurant dining, which was pioneered by Auguste Escoffier and Cesar Ritz. Customers can expect prime rib, icy martinis, and table-service carts. Le Horse will be near the hotel’s lobby, featuring a conservatory, central bar, and café-style banquettes.
