Pinpoint Cafe, a women-owned coffee shop offering coffee, handcrafted drinks, and fresh food, is opening a new location in La Jolla at 4250 Executive Square, Suite A.
The company recently submitted documents to the San Diego County Department of Environmental Health and Quality for its seventh location. Pinpoint Cafe has not announced an exact opening date, although the La Jolla Square location is listed as “Coming Soon” on its website. Customers can expect the cafe’s coffee, handcrafted drinks, and fresh food offerings.
Pinpoint Cafe was founded in 2016 by two sisters who had previously spent years working in the coffee industry. Before opening their first cafe, the sisters traveled throughout San Diego and the Los Angeles area, operating coffee, smoothie, and snack stands at local jiu-jitsu tournaments. The early events helped establish the foundation for what would become Pinpoint Cafe.
The company has since grown to six locations throughout San Diego, including cafes in the UC San Diego community. Its existing locations include UCSD SIO, Township 14, La Jolla Village, Gateway Torrey Hills, UCSD Pepper Canyon W, and UCSD Element. The La Jolla Square cafe will bring the brand to another location in the La Jolla area.
Pinpoint Cafe describes itself as a family-run business focused on quality coffee, handcrafted drinks, fresh food, and genuine hospitality. Its mission is to create coffee shops that become part of customers’ daily routines, whether they stop in for breakfast, meet with friends, work remotely, or grab coffee between activities. The company also offers catering and online ordering.
As a women-owned business, Pinpoint Cafe has continued to grow while maintaining its focus on community and personal service. The new La Jolla Square location will add another cafe to the company’s growing San Diego footprint, with additional details about the opening expected as the project moves forward.
