Fresh on the heels of their opening in Point Loma, Pop Pie Co. now have plans to join the neighborhood of South Park. The Sweet & Savory Collective, Pop Pie Co. along with their complementary sister business Stella Jean’s Ice Cream, will move into the former site of Hamilton’s and South Park Brewing Company.

This will be the fourth location for the gourmet pie company, which opened their original location in University Heights in 2016. Since then, Pop Pie Co. has opened pie shops in Costa Mesa and most recently in Point Loma

Pop Pie Co. delights with a lineup of savory and sweet options, breakfast pies, and seasonal specialties, all served in their signature all-butter crust.

Their frozen counterpart is Stella Jean’s Ice Cream, which is served in all locations and have their own shop next door to University Heights. They specialize in unique flavors like Ube and Pandesal, Milk and Cookies, and always have vegan and gluten free options as well as can’t-miss seasonal choices.

Since the Hamilton’s and the adjoining South Park Brewing site caught fire in 2021, the neighborhood has been speculating on what businesses could fill the shoes of the two local haunts. According to Eater, the Sweet & Savory Collective is up for the task, along with new beer concept called Bock.

Due to the fire, the space is in need of significant repair ahead of a move-in by the next projects. Pop Pie Co. and Stella Jean’s are expected to move in next door to Kindred by the end of 2022. For now, follow Pop Pie Co. on Instagram and Stella Jean’s will be found close by.
