Located at 3122 16th St., San Francisco, Pork Store Cafe – Valencia was closed after health inspectors discovered a serious cockroach infestation. Reports showed both live and dead cockroaches behind kitchen equipment, shelving units, and near the grease trap.
Further inspection revealed unsanitary food contact surfaces and a high risk of contamination due to improper food handling procedures. Base Camp Nepal, located at 2400 Folsom St., San Francisco, was forced to close down due to serious pest control issues. Health officials found many live cockroaches inside kitchen equipment, rat droppings on the premises, and dead flies contaminating food storage spaces.
Inspectors also reported a missing handwashing station near the cook line, creating more food safety concerns. Dead flies were found in food storage locations.

Remedial Actions and Follow-up Inspection
The health authorities have ordered the restaurant to hire licensed pest control professionals, to sanitize all food contact areas, and submit documentation proving pest eradication efforts.
