Bageletto is expanding in 2026 with a brand-new location in San Francisco. The open and sit-down cafe will soon be operating at 2139 C Polk Street, where it will take over the former Peet’s Coffee location.

This comes after Peet’s Coffee’s three-month closure, as reported by The San Francisco Standard. Bageletto opened its first location a year ago on 14th Street and is currently owned by Kiki Theodorides and Rich D’Aloia.

The couple’s Polk Street location will reportedly be a sit-down cafe where fresh-baked, hand-rolled, and boiled bagels with a variety of in-house schmears and sandwiches will be sold.

It also offers a wide selection of Italian sandwiches, including a muffuletta, roast beef, and a prosciutto cotto breakfast sandwich, all with meats produced in-house.

The couple’s passion for baking gave rise to the store, and their shared background is ingrained in Bageletto’s DNA. According to The San Francisco Standard, D’Aloia was born in Brooklyn, whilst Theodorides was born in San Francisco.

What Now has reached out to the owners for comment, but they had not responded at the time of publication.
