A Temecula, California-based residential solar installer operating in over 40 states has filed for bankruptcy. Court filings show a significant gap between the company’s assets and liabilities.

Against this backdrop, as it attempts to reorganize its finances, the company recently filed for Chapter 11. Operations are expected to continue as normal under the court’s guidance throughout the process.

Freedom Forever LLC Files for Chapter 11

The company filed for Chapter 11 on April 15, 2026, marking an important development in its services, which have been in operation for around 15 years. The case is being handled in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

According to filings from RK Consultants, the authorized representative and company manager, Brett Bouchy, signed the petition. The company is facing unsecured claims from more than 50,000 creditors.

Attorney Curtis S. Miller of Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP is representing the company in court.

Company Faces Millions of Unsecured Claims

Case filings note that Freedom Forever LLC has around 50,000 to 100,000 creditors. Among these, the company shared a list of creditors with the 30 largest unsecured claims, none of whom are insiders. The largest unsecured creditor is Mosaic Funding IX, which has claimed $60,000,000.

Other unsecured creditors include Dwight Maxwell, Home Depot USA Inc., U.S. Electrical Services Inc., Gelco Fleet Trust, and others.

After administrative expenses are paid, no funds will be available for distribution to the unsecured creditors, case filings add.
