Per a recently submitted license application, local business Binge Coffee House plans to debut a second outpost in Berkeley.
Coming to 2528 Durant Avenue, Suite A, the cafe will land near establishments such as the fast-food restaurant Bunz, Seniore’s Pizza, and the hot dog joint Top Dog.
“We have our first location in Bengal Way in Downtown Berkeley,” the concept’s owner, Minh Nguyen, tells What Now San Francisco. He adds, “It’s been open for five months.”
“We’re going to have Vietnamese coffee, tea, and matcha,” he shares, adding that Vietnamese street food such as sandwiches and spring rolls will also be offered.
For readers who are unfamiliar with Binge Coffee, the concept’s website offers a brief introduction: “Our inspiration comes from the bustling streets of Saigon, where the aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills the air and each cup is an invitation to slow down and savor the moment. We bring that spirit to Berkeley, blending authentic Vietnamese brewing methods with a modern twist.”
The statement continues, “From the bold and creamy Sài Gòn sữa đá (iced coffee with condensed milk) to inventive creations that highlight the flavors of Vietnam like Sesame Coffee, our menu is a celebration of heritage and innovation.”
“We’re going to have indoor seating and be open late… We can have it open before the summer,” Nguyen concludes. Stay tuned for updates.
