Wild Poppy Café & Market is expanding with a second location in Sebastopol, taking over the former Woodfour Brewing space at The Barlow, according to Sonoma Magazine. The new restaurant is planned for 6780 Depot St., Suite 160, in the outdoor marketplace.
Wild Poppy was founded in 2024 by chef-owner Martin Maigaard and his wife, Danielle. The original restaurant on Bodega Highway is known for breakfast, brunch, and lunch, with a plant-forward approach. The second location is planned to broaden that offering with dinner service and a greater emphasis on fresh seafood.
One of the more significant additions planned for the new location is an on-site tofu production facility. Maigaard plans to use the former brewery’s brewing room to produce as much as 3,000 pounds of tofu per week. The tofu would supply a small retail operation as well as wholesale distribution to other restaurants.
The restaurant was originally expected to open in early summer 2026. However, more recent local reporting indicates that the timeline has slipped. An August update said the project was still being completed and had not received a confirmed opening date heading into fall.
