The Walnut Creek-based craft beverage company Calicraft Brewing has major expansion plans up its sleeves, according to its owner, Blaine Landberg.

Landberg shares with What Now San Francisco that these include developing the flagship Calicraft

taproom at 2700 Mitchell Drive — adding a 25,000-square-foot outdoor beer garden, for starters — debuting a new brewhouse in Downtown Walnut Creek, and introducing a third outpost in Davis, all over the next two years.

While the address of the upcoming Davis location hasn’t been announced yet, the Downtown Walnut Creek Calicraft will be a second-story rooftop beer garden at 1511 Mount Diablo Boulevard, above Va de Vi Bistro & Wine Bar.

For readers who are unfamiliar with Calicraft, the brewery is known for more than just craft beer, with ciders and cider-like products (ciders created with fruit other than apples and pears) making up 40% of its offerings.

The Downtown Walnut Creek outpost is scheduled to open in June 2024, the Davis spot is slated to debut in July 2025, and additions to the flagship location will be completed sometime in 2025.
