It's still unclear whether this new space will replace its current Financial District spot at 558 Sacramento Street or become a second location.

Chef Tyler Florence is bringing Wayfare Tavern, a popular upscale eatery in a “British pub-style setting,” to 201 Pine Street. The address was previously home to Dar Fatma, and eateries in the vicinity include Chez Nguyen, Locali Mediterranean, and Noah’s NY Bagels.

According to a recent permit application, “the scope of the project involves exterior work for a new restaurant to be located at the first, second, and basement levels of a six-story building. The work includes new entry doors in the existing locations, new awnings along the Pine Street elevation, and new exhaust louvers in the transom window area.”

While it’s still unclear whether this new space will replace its current Financial District spot at 558 Sacramento Street or become a second location, patrons can expect the concept to remain consistent.

What Now San Francisco contacted Tony Marcell, Partner and General Manager at Wayfare Tavern, but he was unable to provide additional information.

An opening date has not yet been announced, so follow Wayfare Tavern on Instagram for additional updates.
