Bloc46 is preparing to open a new wine bar at 127 E. Main St. in downtown Walla Walla, according to a new liquor license application filed with the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board.
Operated by owners Kurt and Kristin Jensen, Bloc46 will focus on a rotating selection of Pacific Northwest wines. The owners have been renovating the Main Street space, which they described on social media as a roughly 100-year-old building. Recent posts also show a new exterior sign and patio.
Kurt and Kristin recently introduced themselves as Northwest natives who moved to Walla Walla after raising their two daughters and finishing their careers in the Seattle area. They said their interest in wine was one of the things that originally drew them to Walla Walla and later inspired the new business.
The owners plan to create a relaxed space for guests to explore different wines. Bloc46 has not yet shared details about its full wine list or whether it will offer food.
An exact opening date has not been set. Follow Bloc46 on Instagram for updates as the opening gets closer.
