Honestly Good Chicken Fingers, a Toronto based restaurant chain specializing in hand breaded chicken fingers, is getting ready to open new locations in Kitchener at Conestoga Mall and in Collingwood.
The company’s new locations are expected to open later this year in Kitchener and in Spring 2027 in Collingwood, according to company President and Co-Founder Naomi Kempkes, who tells What Now Toronto that both restaurants will be corporate-owned. While an exact opening date has yet to be announced for either location, customers can expect the brand’s signature lineup of hand breaded chicken fingers, chicken sandwiches, fries, poutine, deep fried pickles, and house made dipping sauces.
Honestly Good Chicken Fingers was co-founded by Naomi Kempkes and CEO Stephen Czetyrbok, who began developing the concept in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Before launching the business, Kempkes worked in the restaurant industry, including as a general manager. The founders spent roughly four years researching and refining the concept before opening their first restaurant. Their initial lease was signed for Sherway Gardens, although the company’s first location ultimately opened at The Well food hall in June 2024, followed by Sherway Gardens about five weeks later.
The menu centers on chicken finger boxes served with golden skin-on fries, Texas toast garlic bread, pickles, and a choice of dipping sauce. Customers can also order chicken sandwiches, poutine, crispy chicken poutine, deep-fried pickles, gravy, and catering packages. The company says it spent four years perfecting its recipes and cooking process, with every order prepared fresh.
“We continue to have strong growth plans and are receiving a tremendous amount of franchise inquiries from across Canada,” Kempkes tells WhatNow Toronto. “We’re excited about the interest in the brand and look forward to sharing more expansion news as additional locations are confirmed.”
