Summer is bringing an exciting new dining experience to Virginia. Local foodies will be able to combat the sweltering heat this year at Lamis, a refined original culinary adventure from the IRG Concepts hospitality group.

The restaurant will be opening at 5762 Union Mill Road. The name “Lamis” comes from Arabic, meaning “evoking softness, refinement, and elegance.”

IRG is committed to creating a truly memorable dining experience with Lamis. While great food is, of course, a cornerstone of the restaurant, Lamis aims to be considerably more-the website explains: “More than a restaurant, Lamis is designed as an experience — a space where elegance meets comfort, and where guests can gather, unwind, and savor moments that linger well beyond the table.”

Foodies will naturally be curious about the menu. Lamis’s dishes will be made from carefully and deliberately sourced ingredients, designed to create a genuine and refined meal: “Our menu draws inspiration from the coastal kitchens and vibrant markets of the region, blending authenticity with a modern, elevated approach….From thoughtfully sourced ingredients to carefully crafted dishes, we focus on delivering flavors that feel both familiar and memorable.”

Lamis will begin greeting customers at some point this summer, though a precise date is not yet available.
