Pop Mart, an Asian import that has captured the hearts and imaginations of collectors globally, is continuing its pursuit of the American dream. The chain will soon be opening a new location in a Maryland mall, bringing joy and whimsy to local shoppers.

Pop Mart announced its impending arrival at Arundel Mills in a July 2 social media post. Neither the post nor the mall’s website specify an opening date, saying only that it is “coming soon”. The retail phenomenon will be moving into the 7000 Arundel Mills Cir shopping center in a storefront located between Artisan’s Fine Jewelry and Fragrance Outlet.

The Arundel Mills website offers this succinct description of what Pop Mart has in store for shoppers: “POP MART is a market-leading character-based entertainment company and a global champion of designer toy culture.”

The Beijing-based company was founded in 2010 and has been making a strong push into the American market. Pop Mart has earned a solid fan following through its collaborations with brands including Disney, Marvel, and Harry Potter.
