Playa Bowls, the franchise known for its smoothie bowls, smoothies and poke bowls, is set to open its second location in Denver on 99 S Broadway, off E Bayaud Ave.
The newest location will be run by franchisees Cody Benisch and Robert Wissing who also operate Playa Bowl’s first location in Denver, in Littleton on 2490 W Main Street.
Founded by Jersey Shore natives and long time surfers Robert Giuliani and Abby Taylor, Playa Bowls now stretches to 104 stores nationwide.
For the first store they opened, “they made a deal with the owner of the pizza shop they lived above on 8th Avenue in Belmar, NJ. They bought a blender, a patio table, a fridge & a freezer and set up a makeshift pop up stand on the sidewalk in front of the pizza shop.”
We’re a fan of this post-surf fix even though we don’t surf.
