Vegan restaurant Wildseed has been a go-to spot for seasonal food in Cow Hollow since 2019, and now the restaurant is headed to the Peninsula. Wildseed has signed a lease in Palo Alto’s Town and Country Village, at 855 El Camino Real.

The plant-based restaurant will fill the void left by Mayfield Bakery and Cafe, which closed in 2020 after more than a decade of business in Town and Country Village, reports The Mercury News.

Wildseed’s deal is seasonal, plant-based food, sourced exclusively from Northern California. The restaurant bills itself as a place to go to feel good about what you’re eating — and drinking — and still go home feeling satisfied. Even their cocktails (pineapple punch, anyone?) are made using sustainable, seasonal ingredients from Northern California farms.

Owner Adriano Paganini, who founded Back of The House, the hospitality group behind restaurants Uno Dos Tacos, Belga, and Beretta, among others, was not immediately available for comment. We don’t know for sure when Wildseed will open the doors to its second location, but word on the street is a Summer 2021 opening could be in store.
