Clayton Wheeler, of Blacktop Restaurant Group, is bringing a new concept to Carlsbad. Following the group’s Casero and Board & Brew, Pure Taco will open on State Street in Carlsbad.
Eater San Diego reports the new taqueria is a fast-casual concept with specialty margaritas, local beers, and of course a menu of tacos from al pastor to fish. John Zagara and Craig Applegate are also involved in the new venture.
You can expect ample indoor and outdoor seating and a central bar.
We were unable to reach the owners at the time of publication, but according to the restaurant’s website, the taqueria will open this summer. Oh, and if you’re looking for a summer job, they’re hiring.
