Following their recent opening at Del Mar’s new Sky Deck, San Francisco’s Marufuku Ramen is on the hunt for additional San Diego locations.

Marufuku made its first move in San Diego County by opening a location in Sky Deck on El Camino Real. The eatery with locations in Northern CA and Texas is open at its newest expansion Sunday through Thursday from 4PM to 9PM and Friday through Saturday from 4PM to 10PM.

At Marufuku Ramen you can find authentic Hakata-style Tonkotsu ramen that features milky and umami-rich broth. The broth is made by boiling pork bones for many hours. Marufuku pairs their broth with artisanal noodles and Cha-shu made from specialty pork. In addition to an array of ramen options, Marufuku serves up rice bowls such as Kakuni, with braised thick pork belly over rice, with green onion, sesame seeds, kaiware sprout, pickled ginger, and nori seaweed, and Karaage, a Japanese-style fried chicken over rice with green onion, sesame seed, and nori seaweed.

Eater San Diego reports the ramen restaurant has no plans to stop at Del Mar. The group behind the leasing of Sky Deck, Location Matters, is reportedly helping Marufuku to find additional sites in San Diego.
