Founded in 2016, Green Light Social’s original location at 720 W. 6th St. has become one of Austin’s premier party places. With craft cocktails and speakeasy sophistication, the club offers patrons a level of accessible exclusivity that is hard to come by anywhere else in the Texas capitol.
Whether patrons are looking to enjoy drinks on the rooftop patio or to vibe the night away on the dance floor, Green Light promises that everyone will leave “feeling lucky”. And now, Dallas dwellers will get to experience that same feeling.
Set to open soon at 2625 Floyd St. in Deep Ellum, the Dallas location will be three times larger than its sister site in Austin.
Previously home to a youth center, the building has been reconstructed as a two-story bar with outdoor seating. It will also feature a late night eatery, Vegas-style nightclub, and a members only speakeasy called the Ruby Room, named after infamous Dallas mobster and nightclub owner Jack Ruby.
“We’re going big with it,” co-owner Robert Drummond said, “We’re elevating it big time for the Dallas area.”
Drummond, along with business partners Ian Fletcher and Caleb Kilborn, have been working on the concept for more than three years. “As our Austin location was welcomed immediately into the local nightlife scene and has maintained its status as a top party destination, we think the new Dallas location will see great success as there’s truly nothing else like it currently in the market,” Fletcher said in a statement per CultureMap Dallas.
In Austin, the club is open Wednesdays thru Sundays and closed Mondays and Tuesdays. The Dallas location, which is currently hiring for multiple positions including host, bartender, server and security, will be open seven days a week.
