Plans are underway to open a Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins combo restaurant in Decatur, at 2550 Lawrenceville Highway. It will replace a former Bruster’s Ice Cream.
According to a Request for Proposals (RFP) Wednesday, the 2,050 square-foot space will hold 16 seats with a max occupancy of 48 people. This new location for Dunkin’ Brands will also have one drive-thru window.
What Now Atlanta reported on another Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins combination concept in March, owned by the Georgia-based family-run franchisee group Platinum Donuts LLC.
Though it appears that the property, on 1250 Moreland Ave., has been placed back on the market, Platinum Donuts co-owner Shamran Kurani has affirmed that plans are still underway at the Moreland Ave. location. “We are absolutely moving forward. It will be a Dunkin’,” Kurani confirmed via text message.
Back in March, the group had announced a grand opening in October or November. Due to the coronavirus, the city permitting process has taken longer, “delayed 60 to 120 days,” according to Kurani.
Kurani is not involved with the forthcoming Decatur store.
Kinda weird to make three-quarters of the article about that person/LLC then…
