According to an article from Bridgetown Bites, a new concept called Landing Paper Planes aims to debut soon in Portland.
“We are still in the early stages of getting this going but have a projected opening in early spring. We are also on the search for the perfect location,” one of the founders, Jade Lewis, told What Now Portland.
“It is very important that we find a space that is accessible to folks who need our services and attractive enough to bring in people for the fine-dining restaurant. Our search focus has been in inner eastside, Sandy, 82nd, industrial SE, and Foster/Powell.”
“We are heavily leaning into Cajun and Southern cuisine, with room for creativity and experimentation. The Cafe will have a warm, open atmosphere with a selection of sandwiches (think deli po’boys, hearty sides, and daily specials).”
“The restaurant will run a prefix menu Friday and Saturday evening and Sunday brunch, with a weekly changing menu and beer, wine, and cocktail pairings. It will be an intimate, classic atmosphere.”
“We are just getting started, but things are moving quickly and we expect to have some big announcements coming in February. Currently, we are all working hard behind the scenes and gaining attention and public support for this project.”
