Mikiko Mochi Donuts is opening a location at 7319 SW Bridgeport Rd, Suite 201, inside Bridgeport Village in Tigard. The shop is targeting a fall opening, according to the mall’s leasing announcements, and the move will replace the brand’s current Beaverton location rather than operate as an additional store.
Mikiko built its following on gluten and dairy free mochi donuts, a chewy, bouncy alternative to traditional fried donuts made using rice flour instead of wheat, making the shop’s entire menu allergy friendly without sacrificing the format’s shareable, colorful appeal. Flavors typically rotate through a mix of classic and seasonal options, giving the brand a following among both allergy conscious customers and donut fans simply looking for something different from a standard bakery case.
Relocating to Bridgeport Village puts Mikiko in a higher traffic retail environment than its previous strip mall style locations, joining a wave of other new tenants moving into the center this fall, including Herman Miller, Design Within Reach and FP Movement. Malls like Bridgeport Village have increasingly leaned on smaller, specialty food concepts like Mikiko to diversify their dining options beyond traditional restaurant chains, giving shoppers more grab and go choices between stores.
