What started as a seasonal holiday pop-up is turning into something permanent. Miss Hannah’s Gourmet Popcorn, a small-batch, hand-stirred popcorn brand, is opening a full-time storefront this fall at Bridgeport Village, located at 7301 SW Bridgeport Rd, according to the mall’s leasing announcements. The family run business built its name on small batch, hand stirred popcorn, and its temporary pop-up at the mall has already given shoppers a taste of what’s coming permanently.

Gourmet popcorn shops have carved out a growing niche in shopping centers nationwide, offering a lower price point and grab and go format compared to sit down dining, while still giving mall visitors something to snack on between stores. Miss Hannah’s leans into that format, with flavors and small batch production meant to set it apart from mass produced, prepackaged popcorn brands typically found at grocery stores.

Brands like Miss Hannah’s have leaned into the same appeal that’s driven growth for shops like Dutch Bros and other small format concepts, low overhead, high foot traffic, and a product that works equally well as an impulse buy or a planned gift. Small batch popcorn shops typically rotate seasonal and specialty flavors throughout the year, ranging from classic caramel and cheese blends to more elaborate mixes tied to holidays, giving repeat customers a reason to keep coming back beyond a single visit.

Bridgeport Village has leaned heavily into food and specialty retail additions this year, with Miss Hannah’s joining a wave of new tenants that includes Mikiko Mochi Donuts and Sur La Table, part of a broader push to diversify the center’s dining and snack options beyond its existing restaurant lineup.
