According to a recent article from Everout, Grassa will expand with an eighth location in Beaverton at Cedar Hills Crossing.

“Grassa will open its new location at the end of 2026. Both locations are in the middle of the huge development ar Cedar Hills Crossing,” owner of ChefStable Group, Kurt Huffman, told What Now Portland.

“The building that Grassa will be in has not been built yet, but we should be getting the building early in 2026. This will be the eighth location for Grassa, so we have pretty much locked into a looking field.”

“Our concept will be in partnership with Rick Gencarelli, the chef, and my two longest-tenure employees since the beginning of ChefStable: Jessica Silverman and Nick Schuurman. Nick is a partner in Lardo, Grassa, and Bluto’s. Jessica is a partner in Grassa.”

“I mistakenly did not understand the opportunity at Cedar Hills Crossing when they first approached me about putting some concepts in there. I was very weary of these kinds of suburban shopping areas mostly because I did not understand how well they could do if they were well designed, such as massive amounts of street presence, signage, and parking. He just hit it out of the park with this development because it is at the intersection—a lot of busy areas access.”

“Portland downturn and suburbanites desire to eat closer to home and not venture into Portland has clearly helped them out as well. I would be remiss not to point out what an amazing job the city of Beaverton has done over the last 10 years with recruiting food and beverage operators to come out there.”
