A new ghost kitchen is in the works at 2425 Sierra Blvd in the lot occupied by the Unitarian Universalist Society of Sacramento in Exeter Square. Named Aileen’s Delish, the new business is owned and operated by Aileen Usac, who is dedicated to bringing authentic Filipino flavors to Sacramento.
The new ghost kitchen will focus on event catering but also allow small orders and party tray customizations available for pickup or delivery. However, Usac sees most of the business coming from private events.
“We’re planning to provide a full catering service for private events/occasions in Sacramento and nearby areas specializing in Filipino dishes, along with a few dishes from other cuisines to offer more options for our clients,” Usac told What Now Sacramento in a text.
The business will also offers party decorations and setup, according to Usac. Usac will also be participating in pop up and community events, especially in the Sacramento region.
“I was born in the Philippines and moved here in the US in 2018. My Filipino heritage, the traditions I grew up with and with a basic culinary background are a big part of what drives my passion for food and celebrations, which I want to share with my community through this business,” said Usac in a follow-up email. “I always loved organizing events and bringing people together. I want to offer a one-stop-shop that handles everything, from food to event planning, making it easier for clients to celebrate without the stress.”
Once running, Aileen’s Delish would be one of the only food businesses directly located on the square. Although a few other eateries can be found nearby along Fair Oaks Blvd by the Pavilliions, including Noah’s NY Bagel, Cafe Bernado, and Mikuni. Currently, Usac is hoping to open up in the next few month. While she is operating out of the commercial kitchen owned by the UUSS Church, she hopes to eventually find her own space once all permits and licenses are in place.
