Kyle Garrette, a seasoned Dutch Bros franchisee with over a dozen locations in the Sacramento area, is starting his very own healthy fast-casual restaurant brand next year. Bohl is slated to open next Summer in Elk Grove’s Laguna Pointe Center at 9257 Laguna Springs Drive, Suite 100. This news was first seen in the Business Journal.

Kyle and his wife Hailey signed the lease for the approximately 2,600-square-foot space this month. The space sits next door to Sourdough and Co. The Garrettes told the Business Journal that they “expect to file for permits to begin renovations in mid-January with an opening anticipated for early summer 2025.”

“The first one has to work in order to continue expanding, but we would really like to try and hit the suburban markets around the Sacramento area,” Garrett told the Business Journal, highlighting areas such as Folsom, Roseville and Natomas as potential landing spots for the concept. “I really think this bodes well for families and the younger generation, which is very health-conscious.”

Adopting a structure similar to Chipotle Mexican Grill, Bohl will feature customizable bowls and salads. The eatery will also come with an app with macro-tracking function, online ordering, and a loyalty program where diners can earn points.

“Our main goal was to create a healthy brand that appeals to customers no matter their diet, and to make it as affordable as possible,” Garrett told the Business Journal.

What Now Sacramento reached out to Garrett but hadn’t heard back by the time of this coverage.
