North and River Restaurant is set to open at 122 W River Rd in Ripon, CA, according to a liquor license application filed with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. Owner Kyndra Wilson is taking over the license from First Street Hilmar LLC, the group behind Ripon Social, the modern American restaurant that previously occupied the space.
The address sits inside Ripon Terrazza, a mixed-use development that has brought new dining and shopping options to the area, drawing visitors from Ripon, Escalon and northern Modesto. Before Ripon Social, the space had been home to Fina by John Suria, making North and River the third concept to take over the location in recent years.
Ripon Social opened in the fall of 2023 with a menu built around pasta, steak, small plates and a full bar of craft cocktails, closing for good after Easter brunch this April. Diners who held onto gift cards were told to use them at sister restaurants in Turlock before the closure took effect.
