The Caring Kitchen, a beloved vegan and gluten-free bakery based in Rancho Cordova, is adding a second location in Orangevale. The location is anticipated to open sometime this Spring, although owner Delaney Polidori did not want to share the exact address yet. This news was first seen in The Business Journal.

The Caring Kitchen opened its flagship location at 3084 Sunrise Blvd., Suite 15, in Rancho Cordova in March, 2023. The bakery is famous for their weekly rotating menus of diverse gluten-free and vegan-friendly options, including cookies, cake pops, brownies, sourdough, and more. With its rapid growth, the business has been looking for a larger space to serve as a bakery and a retail storefront over the past year.

“We have a small kitchen in Rancho Cordova, so we needed more space in order to make more,” Polidori told The Business Journal. “We haven’t been able to make cakes and custom orders for a long time because we don’t have the storage space, so we will be able to do that with the added space. That location will also have a seating area with tables and chairs. Right now, we are only doing grab-and-go at our current location.”

Once open, the new location will become the production hub that handles most of The Caring Kitchen’s baking. Unlike the Rancho Cordova location, the new facility and storefront will be nut-free.

Owner Polidori told What Now Sacramento that she did not feel comfortable sharing the exact location of the upcoming Orangevale location at this point due to past experience but will share more information as time gets closer to the opening, likely in March or April of 2025. Currently, no plans or permits have been filed for the new location and no additional information is available.
