A brand new private sushi restaurant called 715 Sushi is coming to the Arts District, located at 738 E. 3rd St.
Owner Seigo Tamaru hopes to open the new sushi omakase restaurant in Spring 2022. The sushi chef has made a name for himself as an omakase sushi chef for private parties throughout Los Angeles. Before opening this new restaurant, the Japanese native was the sushi chef at Otosan Sushi in Long Beach. The new restaurant will also be a private dinner service where Tamaru serves his omakase sushi to a limited amount of guests. 715 Sushi will replace Unami Burger, which closed down last year.
This experience will cost you a pretty penny. The sushi chef’s private dining service ranges from $30 to $180. 715 omakase handrolls include five different kinds of handrolls for $50. His $180 half n half chirashi will serve three to four people. All of the fish will come from Japan. Despite the high cost, the service makes it all worth it. Tamaru will create and serve these intricate Japanese dishes.
Although Tamaru’s service has proved popular in Los Angeles, he will have stiff competition at this new location. They are situated next to Little Tokyo, where there are dozens of sushi options in the area. Thankfully, there aren’t many sushi options in the Arts District. When the restaurant does open, customers will have to reserve their spot to try out the restaurant.
