Crystal Smith, Ne-Yo, and Karlie Redd are opening up an all-new restaurant idea — Johnny’s Chicken & Waffles — which will land in College Park sometime in January. Its 3725 Main St. space previously housed Soul Crab ATL, which shut its doors earlier this year.
The restaurant focuses on the Georgia staple brunch food chicken and waffles, as its namesake suggests, and will be served to patrons in an 85-seat indoor dining area. This includes tables, booths, high tops, and bar seating. Baked goods like pies and cafe food will also be served at a take-out counter. Restaurant guests will be able to build their own waffle meal that comes with a selection of either white or dark meat, along with different sauces and a “bacon waffle” option.
“Ne-Yo and I aim to make everyone feel at home at Johnny’s Chicken & Waffles,” Redd said, according to Dish Around Town. “Anyone who appreciates music will love the ambiance we created in our dining room, with awards and plaques from Ne-Yo, myself, and some of our closest friends.”
