Tumble 22, the growing central Texas hot chicken brand, has changed hands and is looking to keep expanding.
Formerly owned by Guy and Larry Restaurants, the brand is now under the direction of Bruckmann, Rosser, Sherrill & Co. & Rosser Capital Partners and the leadership of CEO Doug Thompson, former COO of Texas Roadhouse.
“BRS’ and RCP’s partnership, knowledge of the restaurant industry, and capital support will be invaluable in helping Tumble 22 build upon its success in the emerging hot chicken space and develop its brand across a broader geographic area,” a company representative said in a statement.
“From a single food trailer to five restaurants in less than four years, Tumble 22 is blazing a trail with their commitment to all-natural, Texas-raised chicken that’s hand-breaded and tumbled precisely twenty two times for the perfect crunch,” the official website states.
“Inspired by Nashville hot chicken and guided by one of the best chefs in Texas, Tumble 22 is a funky chicken joint serving Cold Beer, Hot Chicken, and Cheap, Stiff Drinks — best enjoyed alongside a little Housemade Pie, available whole or by the slice!”
