Changes are ahead for San Diego’s Rincon Reservation Road Brewery. San Diego Beer News reports the Native American-owned brewery will soon shut down its Ocean Beach taproom and relocate to a new undisclosed site.

Rincon Reservation Road Brewery (or 3R Brewery) is based in an adjoining facility to Harrah’s Resort in Valley Center and operated by the Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians as a division of the Rincon Economic Development Corporation.

Its portfolio of beers is an homage to the reservation’s history as well as the region’s climate and ingredients found on its land. 3R’s flagship beers include the Luiseño Hazy IPA, Rez Dog Hefeweizen, and Oasis Blonde Ale, among others. Seasonal offerings include the Pikwla Rasberry Saison and Miiyu Coffee Stout.

A rep for 3R Brewery tells What Now San Diego the brewery made the decision to vacate the OB location at the end of its lease. The brewery had operated its satellite tasting room on Newport Avenue since early 2022. “Our original off-reservation goal was for a taproom that would also serve food, so we are looking forward to a brews-and-food destination for San Diego beer-goers!” the brewery shares.

The brewery continues to expand its footprint in the community through new on-premise sites like Tom Ham’s Lighthouse and its various retail accounts. 3R Brewery was recently featured at Disney California Adventure’s Food and Wine Festival.

While the location of the new site is unannounced at this time, Rincon Reservation Road Brewery expects to share more once details are finalized. Its Ocean Beach taproom is expected to finish serving on May 21st. Learn more and find a list of local retailers that sell 3R beers by visiting their website
