Kalei’s Kitchenette is kicking off summer with a grand opening event this Saturday, June 24th. The restaurant offering Pacific Rim cuisine has been in its soft opening phase and has planned a full schedule of events to welcome the local community.
Owners Khara and Chef Andy Mangiduyos introduced Kalei’s Kitchenette with a regular schedule of corporate catering services in Sorrento Valley. Kalei’s Kitchenette was also frequently seen at local community events and still offers catering to private events and parties.
Highlighting Pacific Rim cuisine, Kalei’s Kitchenette serves a mix of Asian and Hawaiian dishes like Spam Musubi, Chicken Katsu, Loco Moco, Kalua Pork, Macadamia Crusted Fish, and Lumpia platters.
This Saturday, guests are welcome to attend a ribbon cutting at Kalei’s Kitchenette’s first brick-and-mortar restaurant. Local Council members will be in attendance to receive the business into the Rancho Penasquitos community along with various groups of live hula performers and a lion dance performance.
