Enstrom Candies’ Cherry Creek location, at 201 University Boulevard #118, will be undergoing an interior remodeling project soon. Permits filed with the city show the business has plans to revamp the shop that it has occupied for nearly two decades.

Linda Enstrom, area manager, told What Now Denver that the goal is to begin the work sometime in August, but the time frame is dependent on licensing and millwork, which they are waiting on.

“We are totally redoing the inside of this store; we will be moving the coffee bar, changing where the chocolates and ice cream are,” Enstrom said.

The logistics of operations during construction are being worked out, because they will have to remove everything from the store while work is completed. However, Linda Enstrom mentioned that there is also another nearby location in Arvada that patrons can visit during that time.

The company was founded in 1929 by Chet Enstrom, the grandfather of Linda’s husband Rick. Rick was an executive with the multigenerational business for many years, but recently retired and left Linda and their son Brendan in charge.
