According to a recent Gazette piece, McDonald’s is looking to build a new location in the northeast part of Colorado Springs. The brand submitted a proposal for construction at the intersection of Marksheffel Road and Barnes Road.

Documents show that the plans involve building a 4,600-square-foot building with a double drive-thru. It will be a part of the Willowind center, located at the northwest pat of the intersection.

There is currently a gas station, animal hospital, salon, law office, and more in the plaza. A proposal has also been submitted for a new Champion Xpress Carwash near the site of the planned McDonald’s.

That part of town has seen a great deal of growth recently, and the streets are currently being widened to accommodate the large amount of people moving to and shopping in the area.
