A new destination for craft spirits and dining is taking shape in Littleton, where Turnbuckle Distilling is developing a five-acre property in the Dakota Ridge area.
Located at the northwest corner of Bowles Avenue and C-470, the upcoming facility will bring several experiences together, including an expanded distillery, a restaurant, a multi-level bar and tasting rooms. Construction is underway, with the company targeting an opening in 2027.
Turnbuckle is planning a substantial expansion of its production operations. The new distillery will include dedicated barreling space, an on-site barrel cave and bottling rooms. Guests will also be able to take tours of the production area and get a closer look at how the company’s spirits are made.
Dining will be another major part of the development. The restaurant is expected to feature a chef’s tasting menu and wood-fired pizzas, alongside a selection of wines, beers and spirits from around the world. The menu will also include exclusive Turnbuckle offerings that guests won’t find elsewhere.
One of the more distinctive features of the property will be The Silo, a dedicated bar and tasting space positioned between the restaurant and distillery. Its three floors will serve different purposes. The upper level will host tastings and special events, while the main floor will offer cocktails and casual bar fare. A lower-level, speakeasy-style space will be reserved for club members and include a year-round cigar area.
The plans also extend beyond the restaurant and distillery. Turnbuckle intends to establish a small farming operation on the property to grow ingredients for its spirits, while creating additional opportunities for special events and tasting experiences.
Turnbuckle Distilling is a family-owned Colorado spirits producer known for its handcrafted offerings, including blue corn bourbon, rye whisky, gin and rum. Its approach draws on locally sourced and sustainably farmed ingredients, with the company’s blue corn sourced from tribal lands near Sleeping Ute Mountain in southwestern Colorado.
The Littleton property is expected to give the business room to grow while offering visitors a place to experience more of the production and hospitality behind its spirits. Its location near C-470 also puts it within convenient reach of the Denver metro area and Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
With construction underway, Turnbuckle Distilling is working toward bringing the new property to life in 2027. More information about the development and its planned offerings is available at turnbuckledistilling.com.
