Downtown Denver is set to get a new kind of fitness destination. HUMN, a performance and wellness club combining a gym, coworking space and recovery services, has signed a lease at 1675 Broadway in the Denver Energy Center.

Founded by Omar Romero, the concept will occupy approximately 32,000 square feet across three floors of the downtown building. The new location is expected to open in summer 2027, according to the company.

Rather than focusing on fitness alone, HUMN is being developed around the idea that working, training and recovery can all happen under one roof. The concept brings together a modern gym, shared workspaces and wellness services in one location.

The fitness facilities are expected to include cardio equipment, free weights and strength-training machines, along with space for group fitness classes. Members will also have access to locker rooms and a sauna.

Recovery and wellness will form another part of the offering. Plans include a longevity hub and suites for health practitioners, giving members access to services beyond a traditional workout.

The ground floor is expected to feature coworking space and a coffee area, creating a place for members to work or meet before and after their training sessions. The combination is intended to appeal to people looking to fit exercise, work and personal wellness into the same daily routine.

HUMN describes itself as a performance lifestyle club, with a focus on bringing fitness, recovery and community together. Its broader concept also includes preventative health and longevity services.

The project is part of a wider effort to bring new activity to the Denver Energy Center, a two-tower office complex at 1625 and 1675 Broadway. The building has experienced significant vacancies, and the new tenant will add a different type of use to the property.

According to BusinessDen, building owner Asher Luzzatto has been working to reposition the complex through new tenants and redevelopment plans. HUMN’s arrival is expected to bring more activity to the Upper Downtown area.

For Denver, the concept adds another option for people looking for more than a conventional gym membership. By combining fitness equipment, recovery amenities and coworking facilities, HUMN is taking a broader approach to the everyday wellness club.

With its lease signed and plans in place, the company is targeting summer 2027 for its downtown Denver debut.
