Yard House, known for its great beer, food, and music, appears to be working on a new location in Chula Vista at 2015 Birch Road, Suite 803.

The new site appears to be replacing Banana Republic in the Otay Ranch Town Center, according to the San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality. This new location has no exact timeline, considering the company’s application is being reviewed. This will be a great spot for Yard House, as the company favors popular shopping malls. The restaurant is also in Mission Valley Mall and The Shoppes at Carlsbad. The new Otay Ranch site will be the company’s southernmost location in California.

This is just one of many new restaurants and retailers coming soon to the shopping center. 356 Korean BBQ and Mochinatics are expected to open later this year, providing the mall with new Asian-inspired snacks and meals. As for retailers, Otay Ranch Town Center is set to welcome a new branch of Tesla, Hoop Haven, Lululemon, and Mini Play Town. The exact timeline for these openings is unknown. When the new Yard House opens, customers can expect plenty of delicious beer, cocktails, and food, including house favorites, such as Poke Nachos, Lobster Garlic Noodles, Vampire Tacos, and even vegan food featuring Gardien.

“When we say we have some great food, we don’t just mean popular food or classic cuisine,” according to the company’s website. “Come take a curated culinary journey exploring The Yard House menu of New American cuisine that puts delicious chef-crafted twists on favorite global flavors — always infused with our California roots. It’s the perfect accompaniment to the world’s largest selection of local, domestic, and international draft beers. Our rock star chefs are well-versed in trending foods from around the corner to around the world. It’s like they’re constantly creating the culinary mixtape of your taste buds’s dreams. Improvising with seasonings that’ll get your pulse poppin’ like za’atar spice from the Middle East and covering wildly popular dishes like Nashville Hot Chicken, you’ll savor inspiration from their travels in every note of every original recipe.”
