A long-anticipated bar concept, Bar Roza, appears to be heading toward an opening at The Arcade, owner Julia Jaksic shared in a phone call with What Now Nashville.

The bar will be looking to secure Metro approval in February for operation in a 1,600-square-foot space at The Arcade, according to the Nashville Post.

Jaksic did not provide further details about the concept or timeline, as they are still revitalizing the concept. The bar was initially announced in 2022, but the idea has yet to come to fruition.

“[This idea] has come back online quickly, so I’m still putting it all together,” Jaksic told What Now Nashville. “We’re still waiting for some landlord work to get done currently.”

If Metro approval is secured, the bar could open sometime this year.

Jaksic owns Cafe Roze in East Nashville and Roze Pony in West Nashville. Both are all-day restaurants and cafes that serve items like toasts, salads, bowls and sandwiches. They also serve cocktails, including zero-proof cocktails.
