Back in 2021, Jamal Bourote and Imran Asghar signed a multi-franchise agreement with Dave’s Hot Chicken. Since then, they have quickly expanded across the Greater Boston area, opening locations in Braintree, Boston’s Theatre District, Medford, and Fenway.

Now, the duo is planning a new spot at 797 Providence Hwy in Dedham, right next to The Halal Guys—another eatery they’re launching. This news is confirmed by a Design Review Advisory Board hearing page on the town’s website.

Founded in 2017 by three childhood friends, Dave’s Hot Chicken has grown from a small parking lot operation into an international franchise. Known for its Nashville-style hot chicken sliders and tenders, the chain now boasts nearly 200 locations worldwide, including eight in the Boston area alone.

While the official opening date remains unconfirmed, town permits show that renovations are actively in progress.
