According to SiliconValley.com, Heretic Brewery and Distillery is now owned by Calicraft Brewing Company.

“It makes sense to keep a legacy brand going,” Blaine Landberg, the CEO at Calicraft, tells the Journal. He continues, “We’re really focused on preserving Heretic. …That doesn’t necessarily change any of our plans either.”

For readers who are unfamiliar with Calicraft, it was founded in 2010 and describes itself as a “Brewery & taproom pouring California-inspired beers in industrial-chic digs with an outdoor garden” on its Google Business profile.

Heretic Brewery, on the other hand, was founded in Fairfield in 2012 and is known for offering “out of the ordinary” beer and cocktails alongside pub fare and comfort food.

“Our goal isn’t to change what’s working,” says Thomas Vo, Calicraft’s marketing director and brewmaster— “Over time, we hope to listen to consumers and the community to see what we can bring that’s different.”

Situated at 1052 Horizon Drive, Heretic Brewery neighbors establishments such as Nayong Filipino, Pizza Men Mediterranean, and Straw Hat Pizza.
