An impressive assortment of celebrated Philadelphia hospitality veterans are coming together to create a uniquely French experience in the heart of the city. Chloe Grigri, Vincent Stipo, and Owen Kamihira are planning to open Superette, a distinct fusion of dining, shopping, and wine sipping, in Passyunk Square in 2024, reports The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The restaurant and supermarket will be taking over the space vacated by Primal Supply Meats shop at 1538 East Passyunk Avenue. The trio of restaurateurs is aiming to open their latest concept this coming spring.

Superette will provide a burst of French ambiance to the City of Brotherly Love. The comprehensive establishment will feature a wine bar, a bottle shop, and a market. Ownership describes it as “a place where you can pit stop for seasonal produce and a hunk of cheese on the way home, or shuffle to the counter for a splash of wine and a snack in the middle of an afternoon.”

Customers will be able to choose between grab-and-go options and dining in at the facility. In keeping with its European ambitions, Superette’s hours will be between lunchtime and apero.

The Superette team brings considerable experience and talent to the table. Husband and wife team Grigri and Stipo have spearheaded some of Philly’s most beloved wine bars, including Superfolie and Le Caveau. Kamihira worked with the duo to open the Good King Tavern, and is the brains behind Joe & Kay Produce, the soon-to-be opened Izakaya restaurant in Northern Liberties.
