The retail center on the southwest corner of South University Drive and Southwest 13th Place in Plantation will soon be home to a new Korean barbecue restaurant. Opening at 1361 S University Dr., Prime K BBQ will offer “high-quality meats with a dining experience emphasizing Korean BBQ’s most essential and unique qualities,” says the brand’s website, which is still under construction.
What Now confirmed the news of Prime K BBQ’s opening with co-owner Julian Min on Friday. While much of the details remain under wraps for the moment, but anyone familiar with Korean barbecue can expect tried-and-true favorites like bulgogi and samgyeopsal: Min said they’re on the menu.
Details about the restaurant’s opening timeline are not yet available.
Opening in the South University Drive location, Prime K BBQ will join a community of restaurants that include fast and fast-casual concepts like McDonald’s and IHOP, along with Legends Tavern & Grill and Vignetos Italian Grill.
