The first Arizona location of Farmer Boys, a Southern California-based fast-casual burger franchise, has opened in Gilbert. The restaurant will hold a grand opening event on Sept. 25 centered on a fundraiser for Highland High School.
“It has been a privilege to introduce farm-to-table food to Gilbert, Arizona and bring new jobs and opportunities for the community,” Omar Mawas, franchisee of the new location, said in a statement. “Giving back to the community is an integral part of the Farmer Boys mission, and we are thrilled to support Highland High School during our grand opening celebration!”
Farmer Boys specializes in American cuisine like burgers, fries and salads made with fresh produce, which is delivered to the restaurant every morning. Founded by three brothers in 1979 in Torrance, Calif., the franchisor has 100 restaurants across Arizona, California and Nevada.
On Sept. 25, all sales from orders placed at the Gilbert location with the code HHS100 will be donated to Highland High School. Proceeds will be used for programs and social activities for students, according to the school. The restaurant is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily and offers dine-in, drive-thru and pick-up service.
