If you’re looking for Korean grocery goods in Tempe, look no further than Busan Mart. The incoming market will be at 1310 E. Broadway Road off Dorsey Lane, next to sister brand Junn All You Can Eat Sushi. That’s right, Busan Mart is the next project in the works for Chef June Kang’s New Culinary Concepts

Kang recently applied for a state license to operate as a “Beer and Wine Store,” giving us reason to believe that Busan Mart will have alcoholic beverages for sale. Perhaps authentic sojus and Korean beers?

One might also guess that Busan Mart will have a variety of Korean snacks and grocery items among its aisles. Signage has already gone up at this former 7-Eleven store, but not much else is known about the upcoming business. An opening date for Busan Mart has not been announced.

What Now Phoenix reached out to Kang and representatives for New Culinary Concepts, who haven’t responded to requests for comment at the time of publication. The team is likely very busy at this time, as they are about to debut a new seafood concept, Zu & Pocha, at the northeast corner of Apache Boulevard and Terrace Road

Zu & Pocha was supposedly set to open late last year but according to Google, the restaurant will finally open this Sunday, May 1.
