Chipotle Mexican Grill appears to be doing great in the area, recently announcing plans to open a new location in Olive Branch at 8255 McGregor Crossing.

This is the third new location for the company, following the opening of its first Collierville location at 1090 W. Poplar Avenue in late June, according to Memphis Business Journal. Chipotle is also working on a new site in Arlington. Now, the fast-casual Mexican chain is getting ready to expand to Olive Branch in August 2023, featuring a Chipotlane, which is also used at the new Collierville site. Chipotle first came to the Memphis area in 2011 and will have almost ten by year-end.

The new Chipotlane concept has been sweeping developing Chipotles across the country, offering a new way to expedite customers. The concept was unveiled during the pandemic to keep customers safe and spread out. Now the company has pivoted to this model, opening more than 500 stores with this feature in less than four years. Customers will still be able to go inside these locations and order regularly.

When the new Olive Branch location opens next month, customers can expect Chipotle’s signature line of meat and toppings that makeup either a burrito, tacos, salad, or quesadilla. While this structure has been consistent since Chipotle first opened in Denver thirty years ago, the company is still occasionally introducing new menu items. Most recently, Chipotle started offering Chicken al Pastor in March of this year. The new protein option is made with adobo, Morita peppers, and ground achiote with a splash of pineapple and fresh lime.
